One Day Til The New Drug Policy...What Does Everyone Think?

Tomorrow is the new drug policy. Now that you heard from me, here's some from my friends who are students at Swampscott High School like me.

Few good...

"I believe the chemical health policy is an excellent way to set rules. I understand that a majority of teenagers cannot stand to be told what to do, but Principal Millington is looking out for everyone's best interest--why should such a privileged group of students need to be concerned with drug use? Not only can the chemical health policy spread awareness throughout the area, but it can save lives. As a student body, I think we should be more open to this change because it will help our school." -Rachel Brooks

...but mostly bad

"I think that is stupid and the school shouldn't be in the middle of it" -Dara Mosher

"I think it's sort of ridiculous for a new principal to come into this school and try to change up everything such as a new chemical health policy and a new schedule. I know he's doing it to try to make the school more stable but it's actually doing the opposite. He argues that the health policy is so similar and it shouldn't cause so much trouble but if that was the case then why would he have to change it anyway? -Angela Baldacci

"I don't like it, it's unfair." -Joe Patsios

"There is no point for it since the last death was like 13 years ago and weed isn't a drug and there isn't even a lot of smokers so there is no drug problem ." -Kyle Rogers

"I think it is really stupid because sports do keep a lot of kids straight during the season and taking that away only gives them more of a chance to go off and drink and smoke." -Unknown

"I think it's too strict and people are gonna disobey it anyway" -Amanda Low

Like it or not, this will be our drug policy starting tomorrow get ready for Rhythm Nation 2011 and it looks like the policy is gonna be like the message of this song:
